Rev. G.A. Wells will preach for the benefit of the children at the M.E. church Sunday forenoon, April 12th.
An Easter concert was given by the Sunday school of the M.E. Church last Sunday evening. The program consisted of 23 numbers, and was well rendered. The church was filled to its utmost capacity, chairs being placed in the aisles to accommodate all.
From March 1st for the 24th, F.C. Dunning has sold at Dundee $10,500 worth of cattle. This is a big showing and farmers of that vicinity must be investing in good stock.
Several from here attended the funeral of Miss Annie Crowley at Woodstock, Monday.
Mr. Chas. Lines has been at home a few laid up with the grippe.
We have purchased the property formerly owned by Jos. G. Catlow, and will put in a large stock of carriages, buggies, road carts, ainders, mowers, seeders, Harrows and other farming implements. Hobein & Co., Barrington.
Rev. Wells is visiting his friend, Howard Clark, at McHenry, this week.
Ernest Reike, who has rented the M.E. Parsonage, will occupy it soon.
Miss Jennie Thomas has been spending a short time at Mrs. Goodell's.
Miss May Baker, of Palatine, was the guest of Miss Nellie Dawson, a few days this week.
Mr. C.A. Runyan was at Elgin Friday and Saturday of last week.
Miss Mary Kellogg is here assisting to care for her aunt, Mrs. Holmes, who is dangerously ill.
Miss Maud Clark, of Carpentersville, is visiting Mrs. S. Miller.
We acknowledge the receipt of an invitation to be present at the marriage of Miss Emma Landever to D.H. Richardson, April 1st 1891, at 1 o'clock a.m., regret to say on account of a previous engagement were unable to attend.
Mrs. Geo. Menerson, of Chicago, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peters this week.
The cross walks on both sides of the county line road, known as Main Street, should be built across the Northwestern railroad tracks, also the walks on Cook street crossing the tracks.
